i finished this awhile ago, and it’s been on my flickr and ravelry for a minute, but i figured i’d share it here too.

weetz

it’s jane richmond’s mustard scarf pattern, and you can download it for free on ravelry. super easy and fun little scarf pattern, and awesome for if you are anything like me and have random unmatching buttons that are burning a hole in your sewing kit. this was my commuter knitting for awhile. i actually never really worked on it except for when i was in transit. having a really simple and quick pattern to work through definitely makes time spent with ripta a little more pleasant. also, this totally counts as destash. i used a skein of undyed handspun yarn i’ve had since christmas. i dyed it pink with kool aid and knit ‘er up. one skein down, only about a thousand to go.

other important updates? i don’t know. i made two exciting knitting purchases recently: a “lunch bag” aka “knitting bag,” and a ball winder. soon my yarn will be SO ORGANIZED. agh!

i would also just like to say that since writing my last post, titled “free pizza for life,” i have received free pizza twice this week. ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE.

yes! last night gary and i were drinking beers on our stoop and listening to abba, and steph came by with free pizza and other leftover goodies from olga’s. and then today my boss got pizza during our lunch meeting. and both times the pizza had broccoli on it!

three times? my god, what did you do — hang out at pitt during orientation week?

p.s. we should try to road trip back to pittsburgh for that. we can try to live for 3 days only on free pizza.
